Liz is a Reiki Master and offers certified training in Reiki at all levels, with ongoing support if required.
Anyone can learn Reiki. There is no exam or written work to submit. The only requirements are an open heart and mind.
Learning to give reiki is achieved through a series of attunements, there are three degrees or levels of Reiki.
The technique of Reiki is simple and highly effective. The marvellous thing about Reiki is that anyone can learn it in just two days and it can be used for self-treatment as well as helping others. It is a great way to counteract stress and you only need to place your hands on yourself to start the process of the energy flowing.
Reiki combines well with other complementary therapies such as reflexology, homœopathy, massage and aromatherapy.
Some people have extraordinary experiences just being attuned to Reiki and others find that the benefits of being attuned are felt later when their intuition becomes sharpened and they experience greater clarity and improved well-being.
Training for all levels take place over a minimum of two days. Liz trys to keep groups small so that there is adequate time for everyone to receive and give a treatment and ask any questions.
After each level there is a period of "clearing", while your body adjusts to this new flow of energy, which lasts 21 days, during which time you should give yourself Reiki daily.
First Degree Level (Shoden).
Students within a class are initiated into Reiki through a series of attunements. Once you are attuned to Reiki, the ability to channel the energy will be with you for the rest of your life and cannot be lost.
After being attuned to Reiki at this level, you will be able to give Reiki to yourself, family, friends, pets and plants. It is a very relaxing and simple thing to do.
You will learn about the history of Reiki and how to give yourself and others a Reiki treatment.
Classes are usually held over two full days. There are attunements on each of the days and on completion of the course each student is given a certificate and handbook.
Second Degree Level: (Oku Den).
This is for first degree practitioners who wish to deepen their experience and commitment to using Reiki in their lives. There are further attunements into the Reiki energy and instruction into the use of symbols which increases the flow of energy when giving treatments. It can also be used to send Distant Reiki, which is used to send Reiki to someone not physically present.
You will also be taught how to send Reiki to any situation you wish to. At this level Reiki is limitless.
Third Degree Level (Do Shu)
This is Reiki Mastership level. It is someone who has been trained in the original traditions of Reiki and whose personal and professional life is committed to this healing art and the lifestyle it engenders.
A Traditional Teaching Master of Reiki is one who has been rigorously trained to teach by an elder Master who adheres to those traditions.
